This project is a great next step for students who have some stained glass experience and are ready to work with a more detailed pattern. With guided instruction, you’ll practice cutting and grinding glass for a precise fit, working with narrower and more intricate pieces, copper foiling, soldering, and finishing your piece for hanging.

Students should have completed a beginner stained glass class or have experience with the basic copper foil process. All materials, tools, and instruction are included. Katie Flint

Co-Founder

Katie has been a resident of Sunapee for the past 27 years and was one of the co-founders of the Sunapee Turkey Trot, which is going into its 20th year and is now considered to be a family tradition. In addition, Katie has been an English teacher with a certification in special education for the past 15 years at Sunapee Middle High School, and coached soccer for approximately ten years at various levels. Recently, Katie taught an introduction to jewelry making class at Colby-Sawyer College as an Adjunct Professor, and is a self-taught silversmith, weaver/fiber artist, and stained glass artist. Katie and her husband have raised two sons in Sunapee. They have a recent college grad from Bentley University and another son currently attending Georgia Tech.

Sharon Parsons

Sharon Parsons has been a resident of Sunapee for the past 35 years and has been involved in numerous boards and organizations for the betterment of the community. She has been a teacher in New Hampshire for 40 years and currently teaches math and science at Sunapee Middle High School. As the proprietor of the Wild Goose Country Store for the past twelve years, Sharon has been an integral part of Sunapee Harbor. Sharon served on the Sunapee Heritage Alliance Board for many years, and she is a member of a Forward Sunapee Committee. Sharon is also an artist who enjoys creating pottery, baskets, barn quilts, and sewing, and has offered numerous classes to the community over the years. Sharon and her husband have raised four children in Sunapee. She recently became a grandmother.
